Located in Almere Haven, the Netherlands, De Gidts & Feldman Groep is an international trading company that provides technical equipment to a variety of industries.
Established in 1947, Gidts & Feldman have developed a broad product portfolio, that focuses on instrumentation, processes and piping. The range includes valves and accessories, filtration systems, instrumentation valves, instrument enclosures, sensors, analytical equipment, etc.
An important product group within the Gidts & Feldman range is the double-block-and-bleed (DBB) valve.
This is available in two main forms: the DBB plug valve (made by Franklin), and the DBB ball valve (made by Imperial Valve).
These valves deliver an important contribution to plant safety, as KCI staff Xin Zheng and David Sear discovered during a recent visit to Gidts & Feldman.
Staff there took pains to clearly explain the fundamentals of the two DBB valve concepts, highlighting the potential applications of each design.
They also kindly allowed us to video these interviews, which should be available shortly via the Valve World website.
In short, our visit provided a great learning opportunity, and we extend our thanks to all at Gidts & Feldman.
